Kathryn Marsh
“I believe the essence of a home is defined by who lives there”
I’m an award-winning designer and have been designing for over 30 years and my focus is residential interior design. I have worked on projects from a single room to full home designs. I am versed in every aspect of interior design, from concept to completion. My design ethos is to positively affect the lives of people through design.
Kathryn holds degrees in Interior Design and Fashion Design. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and is a certified color expert providing residential color consulting to a range of clients.
Kathryn’s design career spans more than 30 years. Starting as a fashion designer, she has shown her clothing line during Fashion Week in New York City, and received accolades for fashion shows raising awareness of breast cancer and of children born with disabilities, in locations as far afield as Knoxville, Tennessee and Kingston, Jamaica. She transitioned to interior design following her experience designing and manufacturing custom furniture and fixtures for her clothing boutiques.
Kathryn is a contributing writer for Angi and is featured in a number of other publications. She has been named one of the 15 best interior designers by Build Direct and was a recipient of the “LUX 2017’s Leading Designers”, USA award.
Her client-centric design process personalizes every space to each client’s individual aesthetic. Her attention to detail, reliability and design aesthetic are just a few of the reasons her clients hire and refer her to their friends and family.

Peter Marsh
“Don’t let the best be the enemy of the good”
Peter ran successful businesses in Canada, the United States and the Caribbean for many years. After moving to Miami, he transitioned into the world of finance, starting with American Express Financial Advisors and then opening his own independent finance company.
He and Kathryn decided to start a design company together. His role at first was as a part-time consultant, but he quickly joined her full-time as the business grew.
Peter loves the fact that no two days are the same in this business and that every day brings something new and challenging. He has learned to appreciate interior design and its impact on all aspects of our lives.
Six steps, starting with a fifteen-minute call.
Every design service begins with a Design Discovery Meeting, where budget and time schedules are discussed before anything is drawn. What you approve later is a detailed specification carrying the cost and the anticipated lead time of every item in it.

- 01
Discovery
Every design service begins with a Design Discovery Meeting. We start by getting to know you and your home in an in-depth meeting, and use our own process of gathering information and analysis to unearth your preferences and requirements for the space. Budget and time schedules are discussed here, not later.
- 02
Conceptualization
We formulate space allocation and layout ideas for furniture and equipment, and the types of finishes to be used. Drawings and documents are prepared and finalized for your approval.
- 03
Presentation
We go through the design in detail, room by room, discussing every element. A detailed specification list outlines the cost of each item, anticipated lead times, and anything about it that can affect the project.
- 04
Procurement & Oversight
Oversight of the work performed by the trades, and management of the purchasing, shipping and delivery of the furnishings. This is an integral part of the process and a significant amount of effort and time is devoted to managing it.
- 05
Installation
This is where everything comes together. Construction is finished, furniture arrives, window treatments, accessories and artwork are installed. The decorating is when the vision becomes a reality.
- 06
Completion
The room is finished, styled and photographed, and handed back to you to live in.
Residential design, soft furnishings, bath and kitchen.
Three kinds of work run through every project in the portfolio.

In Kathryn’s wordsDesign should establish a sense of well-being, belonging, and identity by creating a personal connection between individuals and their homes. My client-centric design process personalizes every space to each client’s individual aesthetic. My attention to detail, reliability and design aesthetic are just a few of the reasons my clients hire and refer me to their friends and family.
Kathryn Marsh, Interior Designer
Miami, and the rest of South Florida.
The studio is in Miami. Most projects are within an hour of it (Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Brickell, Miami Beach) and we also take on projects in Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, the Florida Keys and Vero Beach.

Five reasons, in our own words.
Personalized service
Every project starts with you. When we understand your lifestyle, we are able to create the home in which you will love to live.
Unique approach
Every single person is unique. That is why our process is designed to uncover personal style and color preferences to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing home for you.
Experience
We have been in the design industry for over 30 years. During that period, we have done it all. Our main goal is to create spaces that reflect your personality.
Flexibility
Each project comes with its own parameters. We adapt our process to accommodate varying situations during the design.
Creativity
The hallmark of everything we do is creativity. Helping you curate an environment that meets your needs, reflects your lifestyle and inspires you daily is our greatest passion and honor.
Before you get in touch.
Where do you work?
The studio is in Miami. We work throughout Miami and South Florida, including Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Brickell, Miami Beach, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach, and take on projects in the Florida Keys and Vero Beach as well.
What is the first step?
A free 15-minute discovery call. It gives you the chance to ask us anything about your project, our process, or how we can help. After that, every design service begins with a Design Discovery Meeting at the property.
Do you handle the construction as well as the design?
Yes. Our full service takes in design, renovation and project management. We oversee the work performed by the trades and manage the purchasing, shipping and delivery of the furnishings, a significant part of the process, and one we do not hand off.
Can you design a single room rather than a whole house?
Yes. Several of the projects in the archive are one room (a cabana bath, a guest bedroom, a primary bath) and several began that way and grew.
When do we talk about budget?
At the Design Discovery Meeting, before anything is drawn. Budget and time schedules are discussed there, and the specification you approve later carries the cost of each item and its anticipated lead time.
Do you make custom furniture?
Yes. Kathryn came to interior design through designing and manufacturing custom furniture and fixtures, and custom millwork, cabinetry and case goods run through most of the projects here: built-in entertainment units, bunk beds, headboards and a Zoom bed folded into the joinery.
