The images on this post are all from our Miami Morning views project.

Warm light spilling in through the windows, casting a dreamy haze over the bedroom.  The sound of the waves crashing against the shore is a gentle lullaby that drifts in through the open balcony doors.

You step out onto your balcony, coffee in hand, and take in the view. The white sand beaches stretch for miles, dotted with people enjoying the start of their day.

The skyline is a beautiful sight, the buildings glittering in the sun. The smell of salt in the air, a refreshing reminder that you’re finally in your dream home.

You head back inside and are met with the Miami-style bedroom of your dreams. The walls are bright white, adorned with colorful artwork and tropical plants. The bed is covered in a fluffy comforter, and the windows are draped with billowing sheer curtains.

And then there’s the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, the perfect place to watch the sun set with a glass of wine in hand.

This is what living in paradise looks and feels like.

So come on in, kick off your shoes, and relax. You’re finally home.

Hi, I’m Kathryn from Kathryn Interiors, and I’m here to give you my top 7 tips on decorating a Miami bedroom.

Miami houses should evoke a sense of relaxation, and this can be easily achieved by incorporating some key design elements. So if you want to add a touch of Miami flair to your bedroom decor, be sure to keep these things in mind. With just a few simple tweaks, you can transform your space into a Miami-inspired oasis. Let’s get started!

1) Keep it light and airy

Miami is all about the bright and sunny weather, so make sure your bedroom reflects that. Stick to neutral colors like white, cream, or light grey. Then add in some pops of color with your bedding or accessories. This creates a relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding after a long day.

2) Add some Miami flair with bold patterns and colors

While a neutral color palette is often used in Miami bedrooms, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your decor! Incorporate Miami’s signature bold patterns and bright colors through accent pieces like throw pillows, rugs, or even artwork.

3) Create a focal point

Whether it’s a stunning headboard or an oversized piece of art, choose one thing that will really stand out in your room. This will help tie everything together and make your space look more put together.

4) Focus on comfort

Since you’ll be spending a lot of time in your bedroom, it’s important to make it as cozy and comfortable as possible. Add in plush blankets, and soft pillows to create an inviting atmosphere.

5) Bring in nature

Miami is surrounded by beautiful beaches and lush greenery, so bring some of that inside your home. Add a few plants to your room or use nature-inspired prints in your bedding or artwork. Miami style bedrooms often incorporate natural materials like wood and stone to create an organic feel. This can be achieved through furniture choices, flooring selections, or even simple decor items.

6) Create a relaxing space with soothing lighting

Miami style bedrooms are typically well-lit, but that doesn’t mean they’re overly bright. Incorporate soothing lighting fixtures like table lamps or floor lamps to create a relaxing ambiance in your bedroom.

7) Keep it simple

When it comes to Miami style, less is definitely more. Avoid clutter by only adding pieces that you absolutely love. This will help keep your space feeling calm and relaxing.

Now all you need is a mojito and some Miami sunshine!

If you’re looking for inspiration to create your own Miami-style bedroom, look no further than these three beautiful bedrooms we recently designed.

Each bedroom features a different color scheme, but all three are united by their use of neutral colors like greige, white, and cream. This creates a serene and calming atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation.

First bedroom example

The first bedroom we designed features a piece of clean-lined furniture upholstered in white leather. The wooden night tables are dark brown, and the bedding is a mix of white and grey tones.
