Every inch of this 6,000-square-foot Mediterranean residence on the Intracoastal was thoughtfully considered. The design balances flexibility and elegance, creating seamless settings for both large gatherings and intimate occasions, indoors and out. Venetian plaster, coffered ceilings, a custom wine room, a steam-room spa in the primary bath, and two contemporary fireplaces define the interiors.
Fully integrated home automation provides effortless control of lighting, music, and window treatments. For the client, an opera singer, a bespoke rug was created from the voiceprint of his performance of a favorite opera, The Magic Flute.
The custom wine room accommodates 408 bottles and is regulated by a remote cooling system. White-and-silver cork-textured wallcovering adds depth, while acrylic bottle holders mounted on steel rods are anchored between a wood base and wood soffit, creating the illusion of floating bottles. Integrated LED lighting illuminates the display from above and below.
The primary bath was conceived as a private luxury spa. A double steam shower spans the width of the room and features rain showers, body sprays, and hand wands. A freestanding tub is paired with a strategically positioned television for watching movies, while speakers in both the room and shower connect to the remote-controlled audio system. A custom ottoman upholstered in water-resistant leather completes the retreat.
In the outdoor kitchen and pool, tile is arranged in a custom tonal blend that transitions from dark to light. The pool features Jandy nicheless LED lights, an innovative, energy-efficient system that uses water cooling for longer-lasting performance and offers color-changing illumination to suit the desired atmosphere.
Designed for effortless entertaining, the outdoor living areas offer dedicated dining and lounge spaces, outdoor televisions, a fireplace, a custom kitchen, and a heated pool. Lighting integrated into the stair risers improves safety after dark.
Together, these spaces capture the ease and sophistication of luxurious Florida living.
